BELLEVUE, Wash.—September 15, 2026—After more than six years building and leading Truveta, and more than 30 years across technology, data, and healthcare, Terry Myerson today announced his decision to retire as Chief Executive Officer of Truveta.
Truveta co-founders Jay Nanduri, Chief Technology Officer, and Ryan Ahern, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer, will serve as interim co-CEOs while the Truveta Board of Directors conducts a search for the company’s next CEO. Together, Nanduri and Ahern bring complementary strengths across technology, clinical leadership, product strategy, customer relationships, and health system partnerships.
The transition comes as Truveta enters its next phase of growth. Built with and owned by 30 leading US health systems united by a mission of Saving Lives with Data, Truveta serves healthcare, life sciences, and government organizations with industry-leading Intelligence, Data, and Evidence solutions that accelerate discovery and improve patient care.
Six and a half years ago, in the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, Myerson received a call from Providence CEO Rod Hochman about an urgent challenge facing healthcare: the industry needed a faster, better way to learn from data because lives depended on finding answers quickly. That conversation led to the creation of Truveta, bringing together health systems that are often competitors around a shared belief that healthcare could learn faster when organizations worked together.
Under Myerson’s leadership, Truveta grew from an idea into a scaled healthcare intelligence company serving leading healthcare, life sciences, and government organizations. The company created one of the nation’s most comprehensive, representative, and continuously updated collections of real-world clinical data, expanded to 30 health system members, and built industry-leading Intelligence, Data, and Evidence capabilities that help researchers, clinicians, regulators, and innovators answer some of healthcare’s most important questions every day.

The Board has initiated a process to identify Truveta’s next CEO. Additional details regarding leadership transition plans will be shared in the coming months. Truveta’s strategy, mission, and commitment to serving health systems, customers, and partners remain unchanged.

Prior to founding Truveta, Myerson spent 21 years at Microsoft, where he led Windows, Xbox, and Office 365 initiatives and served on the company’s Senior Leadership Team. He later advised Madrona Venture Group and The Carlyle Group and co-founded Intersé, an early internet company acquired by Microsoft in 1997.
Myerson is a graduate of Duke University and serves on the Duke Engineering Board of Visitors.
